Public Engagement Unit

We work to advance and improve connections between ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø research and society through high-quality public involvement and engagement.

The Public Engagement Unit works with staff and community groups to build and support the practice and thinking around high-quality public involvement and engagement with research. We work across four strands:

  • Doing – we provide opportunities for involvement and engagement with research by managing a programme of opportunities, running a funding scheme and delivering activities that bring community-based groups and organisations and researchers together.

  • Learning – we offer a wide variety of training and professional development opportunities.

  • Celebrating – we reward and recognise high-quality public involvement and engagement with a bi-annual award scheme and raise the profile of researchers and projects undertaking excellent public involvement and engagement work.

  • Leading – we lead the agenda for public involvement and engagement with research at the University and across the sector.
