Head of Public Engagement
The strategic lead for public involvement and engagement with research for the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø.
We work to advance and improve connections between ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø research and society through high-quality public involvement and engagement.
The Public Engagement Unit works with staff and community groups to build and support the practice and thinking around high-quality public involvement and engagement with research. We work across four strands:
Doing – we provide opportunities for involvement and engagement with research by managing a programme of opportunities, running a funding scheme and delivering activities that bring community-based groups and organisations and researchers together.
Learning – we offer a wide variety of training and professional development opportunities.
Celebrating – we reward and recognise high-quality public involvement and engagement with a bi-annual award scheme and raise the profile of researchers and projects undertaking excellent public involvement and engagement work.
Leading – we lead the agenda for public involvement and engagement with research at the University and across the sector.
