Discover ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø aims to give prospective students a taste of first-year life and study at the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø.
Discover ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø is free and available to all Year 12 (or equivalent) students who are academically able to study at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø in their chosen subject and meet our .
All of our Humanities, Social Science, Business & Management Discover ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø courses will take place from Monday 10 – Wednesday 12 August 2026.
Criminology
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Criminology strand of Discover ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø you must be studying 3 A levels (or equivalent), with at least one A level in a humanities or social science subject. You must also be likely to meet the entry requirements for one of the Criminology courses at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø.
Economics
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Economics strand of Discover ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø you must be studying 3 A levels (or equivalent), to include A level Maths. You must also be likely to meet the entry requirements for one of the Economics courses at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø.
Health, Exercise & Sport
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Health, Exercise & Sport strand of Discover ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø you must be likely to meet the entry requirements for one of the Health and Sport courses at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø.
Politics
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Politics strand of Discover ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø you must be studying 3 A levels (or equivalent). You must also likely to meet the entry requirements for one of the Politics courses at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø.
Sociology
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Sociology strand of Discover ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø you must be studying 3 A levels (or equivalent) to include at least one humanities or social science subject. You must also be likely to meet the entry requirements for one of the Social Sciences courses at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø.
Business and Marketing
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Business and Marketing strand of Discover ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø you must be studying 3 A levels (or equivalent) that demonstrate a high level of study in both essay-based and numerical or analytical subjects. You must also be likely to meet the entry requirements for one of the Management courses at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø.

I found the Discover ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø programme for sport and health really fascinating and enjoyable! I was able to expand my knowledge in terms of the course content, as well as develop valuable skills that I can utilise at university. This course turned out to be a great project to work on alongside my A levels and the staff provided an immense amount of support throughout. The Q&A sessions with a current student also provided greater insight into what life at university can entail outside of studying.
